Homemade Caramel Frappuccino

Prepare to discover your summertime go-to with this creamy delectable pick me up that is sure to cool you down.

This Frappuccino can require a little forethought (if you want to get fancy) or you can bust it out on demand. The key here is STRONG coffee. The coffee needs to be too strong for the average person to drink straight, to ensure you don’t loose the delicious coffee flavor when the ice and milk is added. We like to prepare the coffee at least 12 hours in advance via a Cold Brew method (below) but you can also just make a strong coffee/espresso and allow time to cool.

I also like to add the caramel once the frap is made because I love when my straw picks up the bits of caramel slightly hardened by the ice throughout. Just be sure to stir occasionally to prevent it from settling on the bottom OR just add half before blending and half after.

Let’s do this…

Makes: 1 glorious cup
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Delicious Factor: 6 stars

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces, fluid Very Strong Brewed Coffee Or Espresso, Chilled

  • 8 ounces, fluid Whole Milk (more To Taste)

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1/3 cup Goat Milk Caramel Sauce

  • Whipped Cream

  • 1/4 cup Half-and-half (optional)

Directions

  • Cold Brew Coffee: Pour 1 lb coffee and 8quarts of water in a container, stir to ensure all coffee makes contact with the water and let sit for 12 hours. When complete you can pour the coffee concentrate through a cheese cloth or french press and keep the concentrate for uhmazing iced coffees or you go-to frap.

  • Combine coffee concentrate, milk, and vanilla in a blender (you can add a few spoonfuls of caramel if you want it to be extra sweet).

  • Add a large quantity of ice and blend until smooth and icy. (You can keep adding ice until the mixture is very icy, think slushy and get rid of any large chunks)

  • Pour into a glass and drizzle your caramel, stirring while adding.

  • Optional: Add half-and-half if you'd like it to be a little richer and creamier and add top it off with some whipped cream.
